Book One Pre-Order

*deep breath*

Okay, this has been a long time coming but I’m so excited to finally reveal the cover for book one! This masterpiece was illustrated by the amazing LAS-T. I’ve been dying to reveal this to you guys for ages, and it’s now finally time!

That also means something else amazing–I finally have the first book available for pre-order! Paperbacks are coming soon, but for now the e-book and hardcover are already available.

I’m considering also doing a giveaway (signed book, bookmarks, etc.) in the near future, so let me know if you guys would be interested in that!

What’s different between the web version and the published version? Mainly, formatting, editing, and I’ve added a glossary to the back of the book. The glossary contains descriptions of the terms used in the first book.

For now, I don’t have any plans to take the first book off of RRL or my website–but I’m going to be transparent with you: a lot of that depends on whether or not the book launch is successful. Writing is my passion and I would love for it to be the way I make my living as well. I don’t want to have to enroll in Kindle Select (translation: start an exclusive contract with Amazon.) So, I’m trying my way first.

Of Astral and Umbral - I've begun reposting!

Avrirsa, a world of gods and magic, was plunged into chaos when a rift formed between the Elder Gods. In their arrogance, they murdered dozens of children who were candidates to become the ‘God of Balance’. In the wake of the massacre, Nalithor Vraelimir, a prideful prince, was selected for the position. However, Nalithor has his own agenda.

Elsewhere on Avrirsa, an Umbral Mage known as Arianna Jade Black fights to save her people. Despite her efforts to protect them she is ostracized for her affinity with darkness. With shattered memories and few confidants, Arianna begins to question her and her brother’s true origins.

A chance encounter between these two souls may change both their destinies, and possibly the history of Avrirsa itself.

Hi there! Sorry that I haven't been posting or uploading much of anything. I've been busy reorganizing my writing files in preparation for my rewrite for "Of Astral and Umbral."

The first draft (Prologue and Chapters 1-57) are available on RoyalRoadL and on The World of Avrirsa - the latter of which is my website.

Synopsis


As a child, Arianna was heiress to the Devillian throne until one day the Elder Gods tore her away from her loved ones. Believing that Arianna had perished, her childhood friend Nalithor Vraelimir vowed that he would find a way to avenge her death. However, unbeknownst to the people of the Vorpmasian Empire, their princess was not dead.

Death would have been too easy for Arianna. The Elders had other things in store for someone that had angered them as she had.

Two hundred years later, in a world ruled by gods and plagued by monstrosities known as Chaos Beasts, the Vorpmasian Empire has allied with the fledgling Beshulthien Empire. Their desire is to protect the whole of their world, Avrirsa, from the Exiled Gods and their monstrous pets.

Nalithor, now an adult Incubus, has been given a heavy burden by the Elders he hates. He must now fulfill the role of God of Balance by maintaining the greater good and getting the Middle and Upper Gods under control. The Middle and Upper Gods, growing complacent in their duties, began seeking out mortal playthings instead of attending their Elders–given duties.

Will the Empires be able to maintain their shaky alliance? Will Nalithor be able to bring the deities under control? Or will the reemergence of a forgotten nation and a familiar face turn everything on its head?
